Workshop Supervisor – Engineering Fabrication Location: Henderson, WA Company: APMS Operations Australia Pty Ltd Are you a hands‑on leader who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety, and building strong teams? APMS Operations Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to lead our Henderson-based engineering fabrication workshop. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and respected engineering company delivering high-quality welding and fabrication solutions across complex and challenging projects. About the Role As Workshop Supervisor, you will play a key leadership role in the day‑to‑day operation of our workshop, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. Key Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a skilled team of tradespeople. Oversee workshop safety, quality, and production performance. Plan and manage workflow, labour allocation, and material coordination. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost control. Liaise with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery. Ensure compliance with WHS, quality systems, and applicable welding standards. About You Proven supervisory or leadership experience within a fabrication or engineering workshop. Minimum 5 years’ trade experience in welded fabrication, ideally involving pressure vessels, heat exchangers, or pressure piping. In-depth knowledge of GTAW, FCAW, and MMAW welding processes. Sound understanding of WHS legislation and safe work practices. Experience coordinating NDT activities and managing QA documentation. Working knowledge of AS 3992, AS 1554, and ASME IX welding standards. Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems and quality control processes. Excellent communication, organisational, planning, and people‑development skills. A results‑driven mindset with a strong focus on teamwork and performance. Welding Supervisor – AS 1796 Certificate 10 desired, or willingness to obtain with company assistance or paid training. Why Join APMS Operations Australia Pty Ltd?
