Department of Logistics and Infrastructure – Darwin NT Senior Administrative Officer 1 – Remuneration Package Range $151,221–$168,735 (including salary $128,551–$143,611) Enabling Infrastructure, Infrastructure NT Darwin One full time vacancy fixed for 2 years is available Join the Northern Territory Government to strategically plan, align, develop and deliver infrastructure needs to sustainably grow the Northern Territory (NT) for Territorians. The Department of Logistics and Infrastructure partners with community, business, and government to deliver integrated, sustainable infrastructure and services across the NT. The Role An opportunity is available for a Commercial Analyst to join Infrastructure NT, contributing to the Territory Energy Link (TEL) and Adelaide River Off-stream Water Storage (AROWS) projects. Infrastructure NT, the Northern Territory’s infrastructure body, undertakes strategic infrastructure planning and development that coordinates and aligns infrastructure needs with economic and population growth, and delivers nationally significant infrastructure projects. The TEL and AROWS projects are major enabling infrastructure projects that underpin growth of the Northern Territory economy and enable private sector investment in economic development activities. You will be responsible for providing high quality commercial, financial and economic analysis and advice in an infrastructure advisory capacity to support the delivery of key enabling infrastructure projects. About you Demonstrated commercial acumen and a high level of research, analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills Understanding of major project development processes and supporting commercial activities, including business case development, cost‑benefit analysis, market sounding, funding and financing, procurement, transaction and delivery models Strong commercial analytical skills, including ability to analyse and interpret economic and financial data, formulate strategic and data‑driven advice, build complex financial models and work with financial software and BI tools. Experience in building, maintaining and fostering networks with key internal and external stakeholders, including people of diverse cultures High level oral communication skills including public speaking, presenting and demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate with other agencies and industry. Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate complex commercial matters, and provide clear, persuasive reports Additionally, a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline – such as Economics, Finance, or Commerce – and proven experience with large scale infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.
