Summary Ignite a passion for learning in our students, while embodying the values, mission, and principles of Catholic Education Location: Holy Spirit - Bray Park Work hours: 18.00 Status: Part Time Continuing About the opportunity The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering Physical Education lessons to all students from Prep to Year 6. They will demonstrate a genuine passion for sport and a commitment to fostering student participation and physical skill development. Responsibilities Teach PE across all year levels (Prep to Year 6). Plan and coordinate key school sporting events, including Cross Country, Athletics, and Swimming Carnivals. Manage the coordination and selection of representatives for Pine Rivers District and Zone 6 Catholic Schools competitions. Attend relevant district and zone meetings and maintain regular communication with Pine Rivers District and Zone 6 schools. Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner-centred, supportive, cooperative, and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices. Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes; and reporting these to students, parents and the community. Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture. Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes. Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development. Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching. About you Previous experience as a Physical Education teacher is preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. A collaborative approach to working with staff, students, and external sporting bodies. Creating a supportive, learner-focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum. Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students. A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development. For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
