In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the wellbeing, engagement, and overall success of our students. About The Role As the Youth Support Coordinator you will work closely with students, families, and staff to provide targeted support, remove barriers to learning, and foster a safe, inclusive, and connected school environment. Key Responsibilities Build relationships with families of disengaged students to provide early intervention Follow up on student wellbeing referrals for all year levels in consultation with the Guidance Officers Monitor student attendance/truancy and provide early intervention through stakeholders Organise and facilitate lunchtime activities Develop and deliver programs that support students' social and emotional wellbeing across all year levels Facilitate student check‑ins Provide in‑class support Present at year level assemblies Refer students and families to external support agencies Be a visible presence during break times by interacting with students Other duties consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed Skills and Experience The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate the following skills and attributes: Exceptional organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and approachable demeanour. A proactive problem‑solver with a keen eye for detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times.
