Location : Canberra. Interstate applicants considered, however training on-site for a minimum period of 8 weeks is mandatory. Duration : Contract until March 2024 with extension possibilities. Eligibility : A minimum baseline clearance is mandatory with NV1 or NV2 highly desirable. Position Overview As the IT Security Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice and guidance on security architecture, Essential Eight strategies, cloud security settings, and adherence to the Information Security Manual (ISM) controls. Responsibilities Develop and maintain ICT security policies, plans, and training. Provide expert security advice for new tech solutions. Create system authorization docs and security risk assessments. Assist in investigations, audits, and innovative solutions. Enhance disaster recovery and continuity plans. Monitor and bolster network security. Demonstrated requirements Configuring and deploying technology solutions. Strong technical knowledge of Active Directory. Good understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and standards (ISM, NIST, ISO 27001, etc.) Working with Azure / AWS cloud, particularly from a security perspective.
