Back End Developer

You will be instrumental in developing high-performance, back-end solutions and integrations using agile methodologies that directly enhance our business efficiency and customer experience. What You Will Be Building You will be the primary technical resource, working closely with the Digital Project Manager and Technical Business Analyst to deliver scalable digital products. Own the AWS/Node.js Stack: Further develop and maintain our mission-critical connection between NetSuite and AWS, leveraging modern cloud services to ensure scalability and reliability. Lead Automation: Drive full automation projects (e.g., shipping automation, label printing automation, delivery scheduling automation etc) and write scripts to automate processes within our ERP. Architectural Excellence: Work closely with the Technical BA to translate business ideas into scalable digital products. Maintain a clean, secure, and well-documented codebase, balancing innovation with security, performance, and maintainable architecture. Quality & Collaboration: Ensure code quality through comprehensive testing and rigorous peer reviews. You'll be participating actively in Daily Scrums, team workshops, and brainstorming sessions. Mentorship: Work collaboratively with and mentor our junior developer on cloud-native projects. The Ideal Candidate: Eager to Learn & Highly Skilled We are seeking a proven expert with 5+ years of industry experience and tertiary qualifications in IT/Software development. Core Stack (Must Haves) Deep proficiency in Node.js. Expertise in serverless architectures and API development. Experience with Git/GitHub and VS Code. A comprehensive understanding of reading, interpreting, and utilising REST APIs/ SOAP protocols. Experience with software architecture patterns and enterprise system design. AWS Services (Extensive Cloud Experience is Key) Strong background with the Node.js SDK and core services, including: Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, EC2, AuroraRDS, VPC, Step Functions, SQS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Connect, SES, End User Messaging, and SNS. Integration & ERP Specialisation (A Growth Opportunity) While NetSuite specialisation is a plus, we are happy to train a capable developer who demonstrates the technical aptitude and eagerness to learn. Our senior developer has established a robust foundation and documentation to ensure a smooth onboarding. Highly Desirable Experience: Prior exposure to NetSuite scripting: SuiteScript 1.0/2.x, SuiteQL, and various script types (User Event, RESTlets, Client Scripts). Bonus Skills: Integration platforms (iPASS), experience with Shopify and GraphQL, familiarity with C# and SOAP, and knowledge of Python. Why Join Life Interiors?
