As the Bid Manager at ABI Civil, you will play a crucial role in the company's success by leading the preparation and submission of competitive bids for major construction projects. This full‑time position is based in our office in Western Sydney, and is an opportunity to join an experienced team driving the growth of a leading provider of civil infrastructure construction. What you’ll be doing Coordinating and overseeing the end‑to‑end bid process, ensuring tenders are submitted on time and to a high standard. Conducting thorough analyses of tender requirements, identifying key risks and opportunities. Coordinating the bid review and approval process, through collaboration with the estimating team, senior management and functional departments. Preparing and presenting compelling bid documents that effectively showcase our capabilities and competitive advantages, including construction methodologies, Construction Programs in MS Project and other non‑cost schedules. Monitoring the company's bid performance and continuously improving our bid management processes. Reviewing and updating ABI Civil's pre‑qualification status with various clients and agencies. What we’re looking for A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a bid management or tendering role within the construction industry or similar experience as a civil engineer in a management role. Thorough understanding of construction industry methodologies, equipment, regulations, standards, and best practices. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to senior management and other stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a keen eye for the detail within tender documents. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as civil engineering, is highly desirable.
