We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Health and Physical Education (HPE) Teacher to join our vibrant teaching team in 2026. This full-time teaching position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students in their journey toward lifelong health, fitness, and wellbeing, while fostering values such as teamwork, resilience, and respect. As a member of the teaching staff, you will play a key role in shaping a positive and inclusive learning environment where students thrive academically and personally. You’ll also contribute to our school’s sports and co-curricular programs, supporting students’ holistic development and fostering a culture of excellence. Key Responsibilities Include: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Health and Physical Education lessons in line with the Western Australian Curriculum. Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and achievement. Actively contribute to the school’s sports programs and co-curricular activities, including interschool and community sporting events. Assess and report on student progress in accordance with school and curriculum requirements. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider community to support student learning and wellbeing. Model values of teamwork, discipline, resilience, and respect in all areas of teaching and coaching. Selection Criteria: Essential: A personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and active involvement in a Christian church. A clear alignment with SCEA’s Statement of Faith and Foundational Beliefs. Registration (or eligibility) with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) . Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health and Physical Education . A strong understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum in HPE. Capacity to integrate ICT effectively into teaching and learning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth. A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or ability to obtain one. Desirable: Experience in coaching and coordinating school sports teams. Current First Aid qualifications. A commitment to ongoing professional learning and growth.
