Oil & Gas - Engineering & Maintenance (Mining, Resources & Energy)Full timeAdd expected salary to your profile for insightsProvide practical technical guidance to all pipeline engineers in their respective rolesCoordination of all assigned design work undertaken with the Pipeline work-scopes/region.Ensuring quality technical content of all assigned work performed within the pipeline work-scope or as otherwise assigned on standalone projects.Ensuring engineering tools are current and adequate for the purposes of the work to be carried out.Providing improvement recommendations on the engineering systems and/or other management systemsProvide strategic recruitment support to the pipeline team and/or project team.Provide input to department business strategies.Cascading overall Peritus Pipeline Group technical strategies to the engineers.Assisting Lead Engineer and Project Manager achieve targets for project and/or the region. (development of capability, business growth,etc)Provide quality Scope of Work Project Management as allocated in line withcompetencies.Project ExecutionJOB REQUIREMENTS:Possess a Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Petroleum (other discipline is also an option) Engineering field)Minimum of 7 years of experience in Offshore pipeline system (pipeline, riser, crossing, shore approach pipeline, etc.) design, shallow water pipeline system design, as discipline engineer with proven track record in FEED and Detailed Engineering.Experiences in performing and reviewing pipeline engineering activities e.g. wall thickness design, cathodic protection, on-bottom stability, end expansion, on-bottom roughness, allowable free span analysis, riser and tie-in spool design, global buckling and walking, riser VIV, riser clamp design, pipeline crossing, dropped object analysis, all relevant pipeline drawings etc.Effective computer skills in discipline-specific software e.g. MathCAD, AutoPIPE, SAGE 3D, Orcaflex, Finite element software (ABAQUS), Fatfree, StableLines, AGA,etc.Familiar with pipeline calculation using MATHCAD spread sheets or other toolsHave extensive knowledge and familiar with different pipeline design codes e.g. ASME B31.8, DNV-ST-F101, API 1111, API 1104, and other international codes and standards applicable for Pipeline system design e.g. DNV, ISO, NACE, etcAdvanced computing skills in MS Office applications and knowledge of AutoCAD.Your application will include the following questions:
