The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) is a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children’s Campus, partnering with leading research institutions. RCH has cared for the children and young people of Victoria for more than 150 years and provides a full range of paediatrics, adolescent health services and tertiary care. ABOUT THE ROLE: This is a full‑time, 80 hrs/fortnight fixed‑term position within the Child Life Therapy and Music Therapy department starting 23 Feb 2026. You will provide excellent music therapy services to infants, children and adolescents with a range of medical conditions, working closely with medical, nursing and allied health staff. RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver targeted music therapy sessions to children and families with complex needs. Collaborate as part of a team to ensure ongoing excellence in service delivery and contribute to continuous improvement. Engage in lifelong learning through participation in professional development activities. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Registered Music Therapist (RMT) status with the Australian Music Therapy Association or equivalent. Thorough knowledge of music therapy for infants, children and young people, including neurodevelopment and mental health needs. Excellent music skills and effective communication strategies to maintain excellent interdisciplinary team dynamics.
