Our client, a leading mining operator is currently seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer for a site-based role. This position will play a key part in project planning, scheduling, and cost control to ensure successful delivery across various brownfield and sustaining capital projects. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Apply Critical Path Method (CPM) principles to identify milestones and guide project execution. Track progress against plans, forecast schedule outcomes, and prepare stakeholder status reports. Support schedule risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies. Work closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure schedule alignment and transparency. Regularly update schedules with the latest contractor and stakeholder inputs. Manage and allocate project budgets in accordance with internal requirements. Monitor, analyse, and report cost variances to maintain visibility of risks and deviations. Use detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for accurate cost tracking and reporting. Prepare cost reports, monitoring curves, and analysis packs as needed. Assist in reviewing and validating contractor progress claims. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning, scheduling, and cost control processes. Ensure all project control practices adhere to internal procedures and governance frameworks. Skills / Experience Proven experience in mining project controls, preferably in a site-based environment. Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and established cost control systems. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
