Support Worker – Catering (Casual) is a role at Calvary Muswellbrook Retirement Community, a 65‑bed residential aged care facility with 22 independent living villas, located in Muswellbrook, NSW. About The Role The Support Worker – Catering will work under the direction of the Chef/Cook to prepare daily meals that meet individual needs of each resident, including special dietary requirements and allergies. Other duties include maintaining a safe and clean environment, completing food safety records, and preventing cross‑contamination. The role involves supporting cultural, religious and dietary preferences to maintain resident satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Prepare daily meals and beverages for residents, meeting special dietary requirements and cultural preferences. Ensure environmental service standards are met and the resident living environment is clean and safe. Work in accordance with the National Food Safety Program, completing food safety records and preventing cross contamination. About You Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritise workloads. Commitment to continuous quality improvement. Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control. Experience operating standard domestic and industrial equipment. Knowledge of Australian food safety standards (desirable). Experience in food preparation and food safety (desirable). Food Handling Certificate (desirable).
