OverviewThe Mine Engineer role at Hancock Iron Ore is based at the Sanjiv Ridge Mine on an 8 / 6 days FIFO roster from Perth. Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Engineering, you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of robust Daily and Weekly Mine Plans as well as Drill & Blast designs across multiple operations. This opportunity is to join a small team of Mine Engineers that oversee multiple Contract Mining sites near Marble Bar in the Pilbara region. DutiesExercise a sufficient level of detail in developing the Daily, Weekly Plans and Short Term Plans (STP) as applicable, which utilise resources efficiently, identifies risk clearly and creates a clear path for a high standard of operational performance and success.Drive the development, implementation or improvement of technical systems.Drill and Blast Design and Review : All aspects of Drill and Blast design including, hole layouts, charging instructions, timing, vibration and post blast analysis.Reconciliation : Conduct reconciliation of daily performance of Drill and Blast, Load and Haul and Crushing to ensure alignment to Plan.This role is accountable for defining actions to recover variances to plan.Follow well defined short‑term tasks and instructions, communicate updates and target achievement to direct manager.
