Assistant Psychologist

Assistant Psychologist (Maternity Cover) One-year fixed-term contract role as an Assistant Psychologist at the Brighton & Hove Clinic, part of Elysium Healthcare. The successful candidate will work with a dedicated team in a specialist eating disorder setting, focusing on treating eating disorders and addressing other mental health conditions. You will work with a team in a specialist eating disorder setting, contributing to assessments, formulations, and interventions under supervision. The position includes involvement in service evaluation, audits, and research tasks, along with administrative duties. Job responsibilities Contributing to psychological assessments and formulations Facilitating psychological interventions on a 1:1 and/or group basis Assisting in designing and delivering specialist training Developing individualised positive behaviour support plans Arranging and co-facilitating the monthly family support group Maintaining clinical databases Completing outcome measures Writing reports for various audiences Service evaluation and other research tasks including collecting, analysing, and reporting statistics Undertaking clinically relevant audits Qualifications Minimum of an upper second-class honours degree in Psychology conferring eligibility for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) Experience working with patients with eating disorders or in a CYPMHS or inpatient setting in a similar role Experience of maintaining office systems and undertaking administration tasks Creative thinking, clinical efficacy, and a strong commitment to evidence-based models of therapeutic intervention Strong organisation skills Good interpersonal and communication skills To meet professional practice expectations including the HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics, and the BPS code of ethics Location Location: New Church Road, Hove BN3 4FH What you will get Annual salary of £26,530 The equivalent of 33 days annual leave – (including Bank Holidays) plus your birthday off Free meals Wellbeing support and activities to help you maintain a great work-life balance Career development and training to help you achieve your career goals Pension contribution to secure your future Life Assurance for added peace of mind Enhanced Maternity Package There is also a range of other benefits including retail discounts and offers.
