Dance Educator

Role Description This is an on-site contract position for a weekend Ballet Teacher at 6th Position Dance Studio in Canberra. The Dance Educator will lead adult dance classes, providing instruction, guidance, and encouragement to students of varying skill levels. Responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging lessons, selecting music, demonstrating techniques, and fostering a positive learning environment. Additional tasks may involve collaborating with studio staff and participating in studio events. Qualifications Experience in Dance Instruction and Dance Education Proficiency in Teaching methods and skills specific to adult learners Strong foundational knowledge and skill in Dance and Music Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to inspire and support students Passion for fostering inclusivity and empowerment through the arts Prior experience teaching adults in a dance setting is highly desirable Relevant certifications or qualifications in dance or education are a plus Benefits We offer a flexible work environment, acknowledging that dance teachers often have other 9‑5 jobs.
