We are seeking experienced Personal Care Workers with community care experience who are enthusiastic and passionate about providing a caring, compassionate, respectful, and high-quality service. Our priority is to help our clients live empowered and independently at home. “Our Mission is to improve the quality of life for those we serve.” This role will report to the Right at Home Perth South Care Manager, operating in the community and from our office in Winthrop. A successful candidate will have the following: Ability to provide personal and domestic care A passion for respectfully empowering and caring for people Excellent written and verbal skills The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team High level of time management and organisational ability Willingness to participate in further education opportunities Your primary responsibilities include: Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene tasks. Mobility Support: Helping clients with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair, walking, and positioning. Medication Assistance: Prompting prescribed medication administration and monitoring health conditions as directed. Companionship: Providing emotional support, engaging in meaningful conversation, and participating in activities to enhance the client’s quality of life. Transport: Accompanying Right at Home Perth South clients into the community for a variety of appointments, commitments and socialisation activities. An Australian, C-Class license is essential. Household Tasks: Assisting with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team. Qualifications Certificate III or IV in Individual Support - Aged Care, Disability, Community Care, or Disability Services Current National Police Clearance Current First Aid and CPR certificate or a willingness to obtain them Current Working With Children Card or willingness to obtain Current Manual Handling certificate or willingness to obtain Current or willingness to obtain relevant immunisations for working in WA health C-Class driver’s licence, your own roadworthy, registered vehicle, and comprehensive car insurance Excellent written and verbal skills More than 20 hours a week availability to deliver shifts Preferred Skills Highly Desirable: Nights or sleep shifts Current or willing to obtain Assist with medication qualification Local knowledge and a strong network in Perth especially Southern corridor within the community and/or hospitals Understanding of the Government funding environment for aged care & NDIS and hospital discharge environment Physical ability to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and transferring clients Other: Ability to provide holistic care focused on improving the quality of life for our clients Subscribe to a culture of teamwork, caring, and quality service A passion for respectfully caring for and empowering people Professionalism, a good reputation & respect for our staff, clients, and their families High level of time management and organisational ability Good judgment, quick decision-making, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to participate in further education opportunities Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care #J-18808-Ljbffr
