Work as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on the health and wellbeing of Defence members. Assess Defence personnel for fitness for duty and provide care that supports their health before, during, and after deployments. Provide medical technical advice to the Joint Health Unit Commanding Officer, Joint Health Command Health Centre Manager, and unit commanders. Be supported by a team of Senior Medical Officers and uniformed colleagues. Perform services in either an outpatient or inpatient setting within a ward. About ADF Health Services In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force personnel across Australia, ensuring access to quality on‑site medical care at 45+ on‑base locations. About Laverton Laverton Clinic is located on RAAF Base Williams in the suburb of Laverton, approximately 23 km west of Melbourne CBD. The clinic provides primary medical, nursing, pharmaceutical, and dental services with standard operating hours of 07:30–16:00 Monday‑Thursday, and a half day Friday 07:30–13:00. In this role you will be working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Who We’re Looking For You are an experienced medical professional with a solid foundation as a General Practitioner. Your passion for providing clinical services, your friendly and professional manner, and your ethical values are at the heart of everything you do. You are respected by patients and colleagues alike and thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment. To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Have Highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour. Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Vocational Registration. Minimum of two years full‑time postgraduate general practitioner experience within the last five years (or part‑time equivalent). Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification. Please Note You must be an Australian Citizen to obtain the required Baseline Security Clearance for this role. You do not need to be enlisted in the Defence Force to work as a civilian on‑base, and your job remains here even if the Defence personnel you care for are deployed.
