Senior Linux Engineer/Manager (24 month contract | Security Clearance required) 24 months (12 months + 12 month extension) Baseline-level security clearance required (NV1 preferable) Brand New Role - Interviewing ASAP, Apply Now $1000 - $1120 per day (Including superannuation) + GST Sydney CBD 2x days per week / WFH 3x days per week (Hybrid) My client, a major Government organisation urgently requires a Linux Engineer/Manager with proven Ansible automation experience for this 24-month contract role based in the Sydney CBD & WFH (Hybrid). Working in a highly skilled team of IT and Business professionals, this role will focus on performing the ongoing operation, management and maintenance of the client’s Linux hosts (spread mostly across Ubuntu/RHEL, for this Government organisation). This is a highly exciting role to work with some of the best in the business in an innovative and collaborative environment. This initial contract will be for 12-months with a 12-month extension and can be performed working remotely from home 3x days per week, with 2x days per week required in the client’s CBD based offices. Essential Skills required 12+ years’ Linux experience in total 8+ years’ experience of managing a large fleet of Linux hosts (650+) and 5+ years Ansible automation experience Proven experience of the following: VMware Virtualisation, Backup (cohesity), Monitoring (Splunk, Zabbix), Web proxying etc. Excellent communications and stakeholder engagement skills Desirable Skills Previous Government, Banking or Telco experience Certified in LINUX A deep understanding of Linux, including networking, package management, Auditd, SElinux If you feel this would be an opportunity that ticks boxes for you, please respond with an up-to-date CV and we will be in contact with you, if deemed suitable.
