The Role The Quality team is looking for an experienced, hands‑on QA Supervisor to contribute and drive the overall Patties Quality strategy at the Pakenham Operations. Working closely with the Site QA Manager, Quality officers and Production team, the key purpose of the role is to develop and implement Food Safety and Quality Management Systems and promote quality and food safety achievement and performance onsite. Your main duties will include, but not be limited to: Work with the quality and production team to address quality related issues using structured problem‑solving techniques. Identify root cause and drive actions to ensure continual improvement. Drive the implementation and maintenance of the site’s food safety and quality standards. Manage the sites quality officers to drive and support actions to ensure relevant quality and site standards are being met and maintained. Ensure all required documentation is completed to support compliance and improvement activities, including relevant reports as required. This role is for a strong leader to provide ‘on the floor’ coaching for the production and QA team. Opportunity to step up to lead in the absence of the QA Manager. Other ad hoc duties as per directed. The Person To be successful in this role, the ideal person we seek will be tertiary qualified in Food Science/Technology or related discipline. As well as: 5 plus years’ experience in a quality‑based role preferably in a food manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Sound knowledge and experience leading the development and implementation of HACCP plans as well as a working knowledge of BRC, GFSI, WSE, CFMSR and product safety systems. The ability to develop and build strong relationships with multiple key stakeholders to work together to achieve desired outcomes. Proven leadership and people management skills (Must have prior experience with managing a team of 3 or more). Experience in High Care Food, FMCG environment highly regarded.
