The Biomedical Engineering department operates as a central reference point for all Biomedical Engineering related activities and functions in accordance with best practice, relevant Australian Standards and Industry Guidelines. This role is responsible for acceptance testing, calibration, performance verification, preventative maintenance, repair and record keeping with regards to medical technology employed within the SWSLHD. What You’ll Be Doing Perform acceptance testing, calibration, performance verification, preventative maintenance, repair and record keeping for medical technology within the SWSLHD. These include Bankstown‑Lidcombe, Bowral & District, Camden, Campbelltown, Fairfield, and Liverpool Hospitals. Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia OR Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Demonstrated experience in the maintenance, repair and testing of electronic equipment. Well‑developed interpersonal and negotiation skills with an outstanding commitment to excellent customer service, able to work independently and as a team member. The willingness and ability to participate in a 24/7 on‑call roster to facilitate the provision of an out of hours emergency repair service for medical devices. Applicants must possess an Australian C‑Class driver’s licence (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class licence (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) licence within three months of appointment.
