Roads and Drains Maintenance Officer Unsealed Greensborough, Australia Reference: Permanent full time Position Competitive salary of $69,022.11 and plus 12% super, annual leave loading and allowances Access to fortnightly RDOs Flexible working arrangements available - balance life and work Access to health and wellbeing initiatives and learning and development opportunities Enjoy discounted gym memberships Generous personal and carers leave Customer First Focus - our community is central to all that we do Join our Operations team and help maintain the infrastructure that keeps our community moving As Roads and Drains Maintenance Officer Unsealed , you'll play a key role in delivering quality unsealed road and drainage maintenance services across the Shire. Working outdoors and as part of a supportive team, you'll operate plant and equipment, manage traffic control, and undertake general labouring to keep our local road and drainage networks safe and well maintained. This hands‑on role is perfect for someone who takes pride in practical work, enjoys variety, and is committed to delivering reliable services to the community. What a typical day will look like Manage customer expectations and concerns in a timely manner. Work cooperatively with the Unsealed Road and Drain Maintenance Team and other crews within Infrastructure by providing assistance to ensure works are undertaken in a planned and coordinated manner. Operate plant and equipment to maintain the Shire civil infrastructure network in a safe efficient manner with regard to Shire work practises and regulations. Work inclusive of but not limited to driving a range of trucks, spotting and working alongside machinery, working with hand tools and partaking in traffic management set ups. Carry out team allocated tasks in all weather conditions. Use of electronic devices as required. Play a vital role in improving and maintaining our civil infrastructure network throughout the Shire, following established maintenance schedules. What you will bring to the role Trade certificate or equivalent, completion of TAFE accredited/industry-based training course and/or demonstrated previous experience in municipal roadside, road and drainage maintenance and traffic management. Current Victorian driver licence with heavy rigid endorsement. Ability to identify and report on risk/public safety issues and follow appropriate reporting procedures. Demonstrated ability to work as employee in charge when required and as a member of a team and gain the respect and cooperation of fellow workers. Ability to work with limited supervision.
