Security Architect - 7-Month Contract Financial Services | Sydney | On-Site / Hybrid Our client, a leading financial services organisation based in Sydney, is seeking an experienced Security Architect for a 7-month contract engagement. This role is ideal for someone with a strong infrastructure or datacentre background who can provide expert security oversight across on‑prem environments. As the Security Architect, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth security reviews of solution designs, assessing firewall rules, and performing risk assessments across critical infrastructure. You'll work closely with architecture, networking, and infrastructure teams to ensure security controls are robust, compliant, and aligned with industry best practice. Review technical and solution designs for security gaps and compliance. Analyse and validate firewall rules, network segmentation, and access controls. Perform detailed security risk assessments and document remediation recommendations. Consult with infrastructure, network, and project teams on security best practices. Support security governance activities across predominantly on‑premises systems. Contribute to security architecture standards and uplift initiatives. Strong background in infrastructure, datacentre, or on‑prem environments. Solid understanding of networking, including firewalls, routing, switching, VLANs, and secure network design. Experience performing security architecture reviews and interpreting security frameworks. Ability to assess technical designs and provide practical, risk‑based security recommendations. Knowledge of firewall technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point - or similar). Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
