Our local festivals such as the Gympie Music Muster are renowned both nationally and internationally. Job Title: Team Member – Pothole Position is part of the Operations Roads and Drainage crew. The role is primarily in pothole maintenance but may be moved to other crews within the Capital Delivery, Assets and Operations Roads and Drainage teams depending on program needs and workloads. Responsibilities Operate and maintain light plant and equipment in a competent and efficient manner to deliver council work. Perform labouring tasks safely, competently, efficiently and in a timely manner to meet council’s work program and quality standards. Identify new ways to improve work practices in accordance with council’s continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Experience Demonstrated ability to undertake a broad range of tasks including operation of plant, vehicles, equipment and tools. Physical agility and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting and bending. Ability to maintain harmony within a team and foster good working relationships with council employees and the public. Ability to work under general supervision. Mandatory Requirements Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence (current and maintained). Construction Industry White / Blue card. Knowledge of civil construction and maintenance activities. Roller Operator ticket – competency to conduct roller operations. Queensland ‘HR’ Class driver’s licence (current and maintained).
