Senior Medical Officer – BreastScreen Queensland (Casual) BreastScreen Queensland in Mackay Hospital and Health Service have an opportunity for a Senior Medical Officer to join their team on a casual basis. Location: 7-9 Wellington Street, Mackay, Queensland; this role is part of the BreastScreen Queensland Mackay Service. About BreastScreen: The BreastScreen Queensland Mackay Service operates within the guidelines of the BreastScreen Australia and BreastScreen Queensland Programs, funded by Commonwealth/State to provide free population-based mammography screening and assessment to women over 40. The Service seeks to provide a first-class service with state‑of‑the‑art equipment and high‑level training for all staff, operating as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of an effective and equitable breast screening and assessment service for the Mackay catchment area. Cooperate with health services, other departments and outside agencies to ensure that breast screening and assessment services integrate effectively with hospitals, community health services, general practitioners and the wider community. Advise on breast screening and assessment services, as required.
