Are you a Mining Engineer looking for a role closer to home and ready for your next step? We’re looking for a Drill & Blast Engineer to join our Technical team. You'll be personable, curious and excited by the opportunity to contribute both on-site operations and from our Brisbane CBD office. This is the perfect role for someone who wants the best of both worlds, home most nights , while still staying connected to operations through regular site visits. Ideal next move for someone who: Has completed a graduate program and built a solid technical foundation Wants exposure to industry-leading leaders, structured development, and hands‑on operational impact Enjoys mentoring junior team members and vacation students Wants to contribute to real drill & blast design, quality assurance, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement Values relationship‑building and strong communication as much as technical skill You’ll gain experience across both the technical and operational sides of mining, working closely with engineers, blast crews, production teams, and client stakeholders. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll support drill & blast delivery across design, QA, stakeholder liaison, and operational improvement. Your work will include: Support drill & blast design, QA and performance reviews Work closely with site engineers, production teams and clients Mentor vacation students and junior team members Assist with troubleshooting, data analysis and continuous improvement Split your time between our Brisbane CBD office and regular site travel What We’re Looking For Must‑Haves Degree in Mining Engineering Completion of a recognised graduate program Exposure to or interest in Drill & Blast Ability to translate complex technical information into simple, actionable insights High level of interpersonal skill, with the ability to build rapport quickly Resilience, agility, versatility and willingness to work in a dynamic operational environment Willingness to travel to site regularly Nice‑to‑Haves Mining operational experience on the bench (e.g., Blast Crew, Shotfirer) Experience using mine planning or blasting software Previous exposure to drill & blast design, QA, or analysis Why You’ll Love Working With Us Brisbane CBD based role with regular site travel , ideal for those who want to stay connected to operations without FIFO Long service leave schemes that accelerate your entitlements Structured development and mentoring from experienced Technical and Operational leaders Supportive, relationship‑oriented team culture The chance to meaningfully influence site performance and client outcomes Exposure to diverse projects and hands‑on development in drill & blast engineering #J-18808-Ljbffr
