Senior Underground Field Service Technician We are looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Senior Field Service Technician to support our underground mining customers in New South Wales. As a Senior Field Service Technician you will play a pivotal role in the testing, repair, installation and commissioning of Ampcontrol manufactured equipment and systems on sites. This includes Longwall systems, Development Power systems, Conveyor signal line and communication systems, Gas monitoring equipment and HV electrical equipment. You will also be a key stakeholder in training and supporting technicians within the team. Your Role Will Include Installation and commissioning of electrical equipment underground Onsite electrical auditing, testing, breakdown assistance, commissioning and installation of the above‑mentioned systems Provide face‑to‑face support to our clients Work individually and in small teams across a wide range of mine sites Provide timely and quality service‑related reports following any site work completed About You Safety as a core value Experience with HV electrical equipment and systems specific to mining and utilities (including diagnosis and fault finding) Experience with underground coal longwall, development and out‑bye systems (Ampcontrol controlled systems will be a requirement) Competency in injection testing protection relays (desirable) Experience/understanding of Ampcontrol products Demonstrated knowledge of explosion protection techniques Understanding of AS3800, AS5368, AS2290 (essential) Good report writing skills (essential) Current Order 43 medical (desirable) Task‑focused approach Ability to make a decision A commitment to providing exceptional client and customer service Comfortable with travel and being away from home Ability to work autonomously Education / Qualifications Electrical trade qualifications Hazardous area competencies (essential) HV switching certificate (essential) Signed off work alone at underground coal mines (essential) Benefits LAHA + underground allowances + nightshift allowances Earn up to $160‑180K + (with OT and allowances) Fully maintained company vehicle + fuel card (inclusive of full personal use) All accommodation arranged and paid for by us Flexible work arrangements Paid parental leave Salary packaging Purchased leave Private health care discounts Well‑being programmes and discounts Education assistance and personal career development This role is a full‑time role based in Tomago NSW.
