We’re looking for a Graduate Security Engineer to join our Building Engineering and Maritime team based in Brisbane You’ll be part of a collaborative, high‑performing group delivering security solutions across local, national and international projects. From designing electronic security systems to working on new Defence capabilities and critical infrastructure, you’ll help shape secure, resilient environments for communities and clients in Queensland and beyond. Given the security requirements associated with our project work, eligibility is restricted to Australian citizens. Desired Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Communications Engineering (Cyber Security major), Computer Systems or Software Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering Understanding of electronic security systems such as CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter protection or integrated control systems Familiarity with software like AutoCAD/Revit, Visio, basic scripting or data analysis tools Coursework or project experience in electronics, communications, networking, systems integration or control systems Exposure to industry through internships, research, volunteering or student engineering teams Ability to interpret technical documentation and analytical data Strong problem‑solving, systems‑thinking and attention to detail What will you get to do? As a Graduate Security Engineer, you’ll support the design and delivery of electronic security systems across a wide range of local, national and international projects. You’ll help develop concept and detailed designs, prepare drawings and technical documentation, assist with research and analysis, and contribute to project delivery activities. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, electrical engineers, ICT teams and security specialists, and have opportunities to join client meetings and workshops. You’ll gain exposure to security strategies for critical infrastructure, transport, Defence, utilities and commercial projects, as well as communications networks and advanced detection technologies.
