Junior Accountant

About the Company Our client is a long-standing Australian engineering and manufacturing business that builds specialised machinery and integrated production‑line solutions for clients in food, beverage and other high‑volume sectors. Their teams combine mechanical design, automation, controls and project delivery under one roof, giving customers a single partner from initial concept through to installation, commissioning and ongoing support. About the Role This role is a permanent opportunity based out of their Echuca offices 3 days a week and 2 days working from home. Key responsibilities include: Bring structure and accuracy to the finance team by covering reconciliations, journals, payroll processing, AP and AR oversight, fixed assets, inventory and WIP. Take ownership of core accounting work currently handled by the Head of Finance, providing full‑cycle exposure in a manufacturing environment. Use NetSuite for all accounting processes, improving workflows where necessary, and maintain strong accuracy and solid Excel skills. Work closely with production teams, digging into details when numbers look off and ensuring numbers tie into operations on the floor. About You You have solid accounting foundations, a relevant qualification and experience across AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations and general ledger work. You’re curious about costing, WIP and inventory, enjoy understanding how the numbers tie into operations on the floor and are comfortable partnering with production and project teams. Strong Excel skills are important, and confidence working across different systems, with NetSuite experience as a bonus, is required. You’re steady, detail focused, and can bring structure and consistency to the core accounting work so the Head of Finance can focus on the bigger picture.
