As Principal, Portfolio Management, you’ll drive IAG’s investment strategy and execution. Reporting to the Executive Manager, you’ll manage IAGAM‑mandated assets, ensuring decisions are innovative, data‑driven, and aligned with risk appetite and performance goals. This role offers the chance to influence asset allocation, lead best execution strategies, and deliver strong financial outcomes while partnering with senior leaders to build a high‑performing investment management function. This is a permanent full‑time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne). What You’ll Do Deliver quality, innovative investment decisions and portfolio management across all asset classes to meet performance and risk objectives. Oversee and support Portfolio Managers, ensuring capability development and robust control environments. Manage accurate and timely implementation of investment and risk management decisions through IAGAM systems. Lead development of relative value frameworks and best execution ALM strategies. Provide strategic advice across all investment assets to meet stakeholder expectations. Contribute to building a high‑performing investment management function aligned with IAG’s strategic goals. What You’ll Bring Proven experience in asset management within an asset consultant, fund manager, or insurer environment. Strong technical expertise in financial instruments, risk management, and valuation methodologies. Advanced quantitative skills with postgraduate qualifications in STEM, actuarial science, or related fields. Proven ability in ALM execution and developing relative value frameworks. Proficiency in specialist risk analysis systems, portfolio management platforms, and financial modelling. Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
