Agnes Shea High School is located in the Gungahlin district of Canberra and will open in 2025. The school will cater for up to 800 students from years 7 to 10 and up to 90 teaching and ancillary staff. The new school will provide high quality contemporary indoor and outdoor learning environments. These inclusive facilities will support students with a diverse range of learning and social needs.Agnes Shea High School will offer a modern, dynamic learning and teaching environment. The school will implement the Australian Curriculum and the specialist programs to be offered will be determined as part of the planning and induction process. The inaugural deputy principals will be proven transformational leaders. They will possess the skills and attributes to work closely with the principal to establish Agnes Shea High School as a school of choice, characterised by best practice systems and processes in pedagogy, curriculum, inclusion, and student wellbeing.Together with the principal the successful applicants will lead the development and embedding of the school vision, strategy and culture within the growing school and the community. They will be required to demonstrate a high level of initiative and strategic vision, with the responsibility to support the principal in designing, implementing, and reviewing all resources, structures, and supports required in a new school. The inaugural deputy principals will be highly motivated leaders who are ready to develop an aspirational learning culture for staff and students through their dynamic presence and ability to authentically connect with staff, students, and families.Eligibility/Other requirements:a minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification;a current full teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) (or eligibility for teacher registration with the ACT TQI)Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) - Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the
