You’ll sit at the intersection of technology operations, cyber resilience and digital innovation, helping a national environmental organisation work more simply, securely and confidently in a fast-changing digital landscape. This role is ideal for someone who likes hands-on problem solving, clear ownership, and shaping how technology is used. What you’ll do Keep core systems stable, secure and well-used (CRM, collaboration and communications platforms) Own internal system administration: access, permissions, data quality and documentation Triage IT issues and coordinate vendors and managed service providers Strengthen cyber security practices through awareness, training and access reviews Help roll out approved AI tools and support responsible, practical AI use Deliver small system improvements that genuinely reduce friction for staff You’ll report to the Business Services Manager and work closely with teams across the organisation, translating technical solutions into real-world impact. This role will require a minimum of 60% attendance in the office. What we’re looking for Essential 5+ years experience in IT operations, systems administration and digital platforms Strong technical judgement and problem-solving skills Confidence managing system access, data and user training Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users Sound technical judgement with curiosity, care, and a strong service mindset Nice to have Experience managing cyber security awareness programs Experience implementing and supporting AI tools in the workplace CRM experience (e.g. Blackbaud CRM, NationBuilder, Mailchimp) Not-for-profit or mission-driven sector experience Employee Benefits: Five weeks of annual leave per year Genuine flexibility in working hours and location, with support for office and/or remote working 15 days personal leave 3 additional leave days at end of year Floating public holidays Generous Paid parental leave (subject to eligibility conditions) Commitment to supporting your professional development Access to Long Service Leave after five years of continuous service Access to our Employee Assistance Program (free counselling service) The Wilderness Society is about embracing everyone.
