The internal job title for this role is Shopkeeper. As our store operates seven days per week, you must have full availability to work on a rotating roster that includes a mix of day and evening shifts, as well as alternating weekends (Saturday and Sunday). About this work area Optimise sales and profitability by taking ownership of the range and driving IKEA commercial priorities and volume commitments. Act quickly on commercial opportunities, customer feedback, and performance insights, while keeping a close eye on competitors and supply. Ensure your shop is always in excellent shape, fully stocked, and easy for customers to shop independently. Build an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive two‑way feedback with your team and colleagues. Provide clear leadership and direction, engaging co‑workers in store objectives and setting them up for success. Support recruitment, retention, performance management, succession planning, and competence development. Actively coach, develop and mentor your team, ensuring co‑workers feel supported in their daily work and can reach their full potential. Who you are Passionate about home furnishing, volume retailing, and leading people, and you celebrate team success. Customer‑focused, with a strong desire to exceed every customer’s expectations. Business‑minded and results‑driven, with a demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets. Experienced, with at least two years of managing and leading a retail store or a large home furnishings business, including success in driving sales growth. Energetic in your leadership approach, thriving in a fast‑paced retail environment and fostering a strong team culture. A clear, confident communicator who brings positivity, problem‑solving, and customer‑first decision making to every interaction.
