The Role
The Sydney newsroom is seeking a highly motivated and experienced editorial leader who can lead, organise and inspire reporters to deliver breaking news and original stories, while also attracting new and diverse audiences to ABC News.
This is a full-time, permanent position based at Parramatta.
The Job
Work closely with reporters and other newsroom staff to ensure high-quality storytelling across broadcast and digital platforms.
Monitor, review and provide constructive feedback to the newsroom team on the quality of content produced and audience responses.
Work with the planning and Sydney news leadership team to drive ABC News coverage across Greater Sydney
Work closely with the News Editor NSW to assist in developing and implementing content strategies and initiatives consistent with overall ABC and ABC News direction.

About You
You will have superior knowledge of news production in a multi-platform environment, including producing and commissioning journalism for digital, mobile and broadcast platforms as well as methods of content distribution and engagement.
You'll have proven editorial leadership experience and decision-making skills to ensure effective responses to breaking news and a considered approach to news coverage.
You’ll be a clear communicator with strong leadership skills and the ability to deliver on the strategic priorities of ABC News.
