Why is this role open:

The firm is seeking a Senior Technologist to join their Victoria, BC office, as the needs of the business are growing.

Must haves:

Over 8 years of experience in the Canadian Architectural Industry (BC experience preferred), demonstrating expertise in building technology, including wood frame, multi-family residential, and commercial projects (office or retail)

Proven experience in leading the production of drawings through Revit models for various project types

Capability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines across multiple projects concurrently

Effective coordination skills with clients, consultants, and municipal staff

Experience in mentoring junior technologists

Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp

Proficiency in detailing and a comprehensive understanding of sustainable design considerations

Familiarity with municipal approvals processes

In-depth knowledge of the BC Building Code Part 3 and Part 9, and ASHRAE 90.1 (understanding of NECB preferred)

Completion of a certified Building Technology or Architectural program from a professionally recognized institution
