About the Role Reporting to the Manager of Biosecurity and Emergency Services you will be responsible for leading a team of biosecurity professionals in the operational delivery of pest animal programs, travel stock reserve management and emergency responses across the Central Tablelands region. Specific Deliverables Overseeing core services budgets and working with other LLS teams to deliver invasive animal species programmes Leading our regional strategic plan development and implementation for pest animals in the Central Tablelands region Engaging a geographically dispersed and technically skilled team to implement pest‑animal control programmes in partnership with landholders and other stakeholders Applying continual improvement strategies to drive innovation and change in control programmes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. About You Our ideal candidate will have well‑developed people‑management skills, be able to inspire direction and purpose in your team, deliver results and coordinate a range of projects and associated responsibilities. Requirements Tertiary qualifications in a discipline relevant to the primary industries portfolio and/or equivalent experience in leadership and management of services to primary industries Strong people‑leadership skills with the ability to foster positive team culture and drive change Understanding of the economic and environmental impact of pest animals on land use Effective communication skills with the ability to engage and develop your team members and to engage with a variety of stakeholders Previous experience in leading teams, programme‑level strategy development, operational plans & budget management Previous experience in pest‑animal management Ability to encourage and promote your team whilst critically reviewing programme effectiveness and implementing problem‑solving and innovation processes to achieve higher level outcomes Current NSW driver licence and the ability and willingness to travel Contact Want to know more?
