Overview Ashurst is seeking a Lawyer, Corporate Transactions (M&A) in Sydney. Our Corporate Transactions team handles notable, high-profile matters across Australia, spanning public and private M&A, equity capital markets, IPOs and ASX listing rule advice, restructuring and recapitalisations, and joint ventures and corporate governance. Our practice advises on matters that make headlines, working with leading corporates, investors and financial institutions across industries. Practice areas include: Public and private M&A, including takeovers and business/asset acquisitions and disposals Equity capital markets IPOs and ASX listing rule advice Restructuring and recapitalisations Joint ventures and corporate governance The Opportunity Ashurst's 2027 strategy involves significant investment in our Corporate Transactions teams across Australia. We are bolstering our Sydney and Melbourne teams and are looking for additional Lawyers who are committed to a long-term career in corporate law within a firm that will back their development and ambitions. What We're Looking For Proven M&A experience, ideally gained at a leading firm (2+ years PQE) Excellent technical and drafting skills A commercial mindset and ability to provide strategic advice Strong team orientation with the drive to mentor and support junior colleagues Commitment to building long-term client relationships This is a career-defining opportunity to join one of Australia’s leading corporate practices and work on matters that shape industries and careers.
