About the role The Road Safety Officer position includes the following major components: Communication and engagement with community on road safety related matters To research, develop and implement plans, programs and campaigns aimed at increasing road safety and active transport Increase awareness among residents, community groups, government agencies and other key stakeholders in the Hornsby Shire of road safety issues Seek continued funding for Council’s road safety program Prepare regular reports and attend meetings with stakeholders as required Program management of development and delivery of community engagement Position Requirements Tertiary qualifications in Education, Behavioural Sciences, Communication, Marketing or Engineering, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
