Principal Consultant - Projects Branch : Schools Division : Office of the Deputy Director General Schools Salary : Level 7, $139,860 - $149,485 per annum (pro-rata) (PSCA 2024) Work Type : Permanent - Full Time FTE : Location : East Perth Closing Date : 4 : 30 PM This is a permanent full-time position commencing ASAP The Schools Group develops overall strategic directions for promoting and developing Government schools. The Group is responsible for: providing educational leadership to regions and schools promoting excellence in teaching practice and learning outcomes developing and implementing operational policies to achieve outcomes setting directions for the delivery of services to schools. The Role The Principal Consultant implements, coordinates and supports system-wide educational projects, initiatives, strategies, contract management and reform programs being undertaken within the Department. They continually monitor, review and evaluate the effectiveness of educational projects, initiatives, strategies, contracts and reform programs to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and report progress to senior management, relevant committees and other relevant interest groups. If successful, you will provide input to the development of policy, implementation frameworks, annual project plans, contracts and other key documentation. You will be required to maintain a close working relationship with central support services, regions and schools to assist and support the effective management of risk, such as critical incidents and, where identified, systematically investigate problems and issues.
