Join to apply for the Senior Project Manager (Civil) role at Maribyrnong City Council. The position offers a Band 7 salary ($108,364 – $120,418) plus 12% super and monthly ADO, and is a permanent full‑time role based in Footscray, Melbourne. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage and coordinate the delivery of assigned capital works projects from commencement to completion, including complex, multiple and concurrent projects. Manage stakeholder partnerships, engagement, negotiations and approvals throughout the project life cycle. Provide high quality service to internal and external customers to deliver quality places and spaces for the community through Project and Asset Management excellence. Champion the use of the Project Management Framework on assigned projects. Identify, lead and implement innovative project value management resulting in cost‑effective and solution‑based outcomes. Provide support and assistance to the Coordinator Project Delivery Civil in achieving the department's commitments. Assist in investigating and responding to customer reference management queries in accordance with Council policies. About You Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Architecture or related discipline, or equivalent experience within the construction industry. Extensive experience within project management including design, construction and contractor management. Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex and concurrent projects. Solid understanding of best practice contracting and tendering processes, Australian construction standards, codes of practice and relevant legislation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to manage stakeholders in a complex public sector environment. Extensive knowledge and experience with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Ability to work independently and within a team‑oriented, collaborative environment. Advanced computer proficiency including Project Management tools and MS Office applications. Ability to work effectively and efficiently on multiple construction and work sites. Current Victorian driver’s licence. Successful applicants will need to undertake pre‑employment requirements including a satisfactory criminal history record check.
