Nanny – Sydney CBD Start Date: Dec Ideally but also happy with a Jan 2026 start $35–$40+ per hour (depending on experience) 12+ month contract with potential for long-term/full-time growth A warm and energetic family based in the heart of Sydney CBD is seeking an experienced, confident and nurturing nanny to support the care of their 4-year-old son. This role blends childcare with light household/house manager duties and suits someone organised, proactive and comfortable working in a private household. The ideal nanny will bring a balance of warmth while also being calm, patient and structured, someone able to match the child's personality and keep routines running smoothly. Days & Hours Tuesday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm Wednesday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm Friday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm Saturday: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm (preferred but flexible) Responsibilities Provide attentive, engaging care for the child Prepare healthy meals for the child and occasionally for the parent School and preschool drop-offs/pick-ups when required Plan and supervise activities, outings and active play Drive the child to activities around East Sydney or Ermington Keep the apartment tidy, general organisation, laundry, and light housework Run household errands or shopping as needed Optional future expansion into administrative/office support within the parent’s company Requirements 3+ years prior experience working as a nanny in private households Valid Working with Children's Check Current First Aid and CPR Confident, safe driver with a valid full licence, own car preferred and a willingness to drive the employer’s car (provided) Comfortable navigating Sydney roads Childcare qualifications preferred but not essential Passionate about cooking (not just as a chore) Open to completing a DISC assessment Non-smoker About the Role This position is ideal for someone who can bring structure, emotional warmth and genuine enthusiasm. The child is active and affectionate, the nanny should enjoy active play, outdoor time, and keeping him engaged in positive, stimulating routines. The role also includes maintaining an organised home environment, tidy spaces, simple household tasks, and a supportive presence in the family's daily flow.
