About the role We are seeking experienced Section Waiters and Waitstaff to join the team of Yamangen, QT Melbourne’s newest restaurant You will be delivering a high‑end and memorable experience to dinners, creating memorable moments and special experience, keeping the guests coming back for more. The new restaurant will be opening soon with several casual positions available to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a "team‑first" attitude, a passion for high end hospitality and service. We are after a fun loving, dedicated professional who would embrace the opportunity to work for Australia's leading designer hotel brand. If you love being part of an opening team and bringing unique experiences to guests, then we’d love to hear from you Key Responsibilities Previous experience working in premium dining restaurants or hotels with a good understanding of a high level of service and guest engagement. Experience managing multiple tables within one section, ability to carry multiple plates and clear tables professionally. Provide warm, attentive service to guests, making sure every visit is special. Stay one step ahead of guest needs, offering help before they even ask. Keep the section tidy and organised for a smooth dining experience. Learn the full Yamagen menu inside out—from sake and Japanese whiskies to signature cocktails and dishes. Training will be provided. Explain menu items clearly, give recommendations, and upsell products when applicable. Follow service standards and kept everything in line with the restaurant’s style. Work closely with the kitchen and bar to get orders out quickly and accurately. Maintain a polished, professional appearance every shift. Handle opening and closing tasks for the section.
