About the Role Join McCullough Robertson as a Legal Automation Specialist and play a key role in developing and maintaining digital solutions such as precedents, workflows, and knowledge systems to optimise and enhance legal operations. This position sits within the broader Knowledge and Legal Excellence team and offers a diverse and engaging scope of work, spanning document automation, legal technology implementation, workflow optimisation, training delivery, and innovation projects. Responsibilities Using low‑code and no‑code tools to design, develop, or oversee prototypes and proofs‑of‑concept, and managing the final build of digital service solutions and online interfaces. Reading project documents, including user stories and requirements, and translating them into clear technical specifications and solutions. Ensuring all digital solutions comply with governance, data privacy, and brand standards. Conducting thorough testing, validation, and performance checks on digital solutions. Providing guidance and troubleshooting support for digital solutions, document automation, legal precedents, templates, and formatting queries. Developing and delivering training to support effective use of digital solutions, precedents, and templates. Maintaining documentation, standards, and governance frameworks for digital solutions. Staying up to date with digital trends, product updates, and new technologies, and sharing useful insights with the team to promote innovation and informed decision‑making. Qualifications Hands‑on experience developing and implementing digital solutions for the legal industry, including low‑code/no‑code platforms, document automation, and AI‑driven document review. Confidence working with generative AI tools and an understanding of their application in legal automation and process optimisation. Experience with SQL Management, eDiscovery, or Microsoft Stack Development highly regarded. Foundation in basic programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, CSS, or HTML. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills with a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships. Detail‑oriented, adaptable, and collaborative, capable of working independently while managing competing priorities effectively. Leadership experience or a demonstrated ability to mentor others, fostering a culture of learning and innovation. Initiative in driving new ideas, challenging the status quo, and maintaining a steadfast commitment to quality, accuracy, and compliance.
