Employee Benefits + discounted financial productsWe are looking for a high performing mid-level lawyer, and are open to applicants for either the Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne office.Reporting into our fabulous Head of Corporate and Commercial Legal, and supported by a number of experienced legal counsel, this role is responsible for providing legal services and support to multiple business and head office support units across our BOQ Group, including Procurement, Third party Relationships, Corporate Development (M&A), Group Finance, Treasury and CEO Office.An area of focus will be our commercial contracting space. Across our multi-brands you will be required to provide legal advice and support (including drafting and negotiating) on a wide range of commercial agreements including master services agreements, statements of work, SaaS agreements, software licences, NDA’s, white label arrangements and other bespoke agreements.You will also have the opportunity to provide strategic input and legal solutions on other business matters including group projects, M&A transactions, corporate restructures, funding arrangements, capital market transactions and annual disclosure reviews. More generally you will be part of the team providing corporate advisory legal advice to all business units serviced by the Corporate and Commercial Legal team.You’ll be joining a dynamic, market-leading legal team, being highly regarded both within the BOQ Group as well as by its peers. This is an opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of work and engage with senior members of BOQ’s management and executive team.About youWe’re seeking someone with a strong commercial acumen and the capability to provide solutions-focused, commercial legal advice to a diverse variety of stakeholders – this role would suit someone who possess a relationship-oriented mindset, with excellent communication and organization skills and has the capacity to work autonomously as well as part of teams or projects.To be successful:You will be admitted as a legal practitioner in Australia (ideally 3-5 years PQE).Private practice or in-house experience which involved vendor contract reviews and negotiations, including in relation to IT contracts, would be advantageous.You will have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to draft with limited supervision.Knowledge of privacy, data protection, information and technology law including APRA and other prudential standards which apply to Australian ADI’s, Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules will be considered favourably.You will be a person who can thrive in our workplace and is a good cultural fit - someone who exemplifies personal drive, integrity, resilience, is empathetic and respectful.Working with us is fun and fast-paced, and we are seeking top talent to take us where we want to go.
