We are experts in our field, and we are passionate about mining.About the role:This is based in our Brisbane officeWorking on a broad range of structural engineering design projectsProducing design calculations, mainly concrete and steel, to Australian Standards and client specificationsConduct structural integrity inspection for existing mining infrastructureConduct structural engineering analysis and design for both brownfield and greenfield sites.Supporting the wider resources team and other teams within the company nationally when the opportunity presents.Working in an established team of structural engineers within a multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver a diverse range of mine process and non-process infrastructure projectsAbout you:Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ);Proficient with structural analysis and design software preferably Space Gas, Limcon and Strand7.Must have experience in design of mining and industrial infrastructure, maintenance facilities and materials handling structuresExperience in all stages of projects from prefeasibility through to detail designSome experience with demolition planning and design is desirableOutstanding communication and interpersonal skillsProactive mindset and a self-starterWhat we’ll love about you:The qualifications listed below are those we would like to see in the ideal candidate; we realise that we all have different strengths and weaknesses, so the successful candidate is not expected to have all these skills We are looking for a high-quality individual with the right experience in key areas.Proven industry experiencePractical site experience (particularly with demolition)Navisworks experience for design checking and deliveryWritten communication skills – ability to help with studies, reporting and project documentation (scope of works and technical specifications).Python or other automation and programming software to help improve efficiency.Active in industry bodies (Engineers Australia or other structural engineering)A commitment to diversity, environment, health, safety, and society.About WSPWSP is one of the world's leading engineering professional services consulting firms, bringing together approximately 5,000 talented people across 14 offices in Australia.
