Your Role As an Accountant reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will be at the heart of our financial operations. You’ll take charge of a variety of exciting financial reporting tasks that drive our analytical and financial objectives. This is your chance to shine and showcase your skills in a supportive environment Key Responsibilities Month-End Close: Play a vital role in the month‑end close process, delivering accurate results to management and ensuring timely reporting. Intercompany Reconciliations: Manage intercompany reconciliations with precision and attention to detail. General Ledger Accounting: Day‑to‑day GL accounting, including cash management functions that keep our operations running smoothly. Fixed Assets Accounting: Manage fixed‑asset registers, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and asset verification. Cashflow Forecasting: Utilize your analytical skills to conduct cashflow forecasting and support strategic decision‑making. Tax Returns: Prepare various tax returns (BAS, FBT) on a monthly basis, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Review and complete Group Balance Sheet reconciliations, maintaining our financial integrity. Collaboration: Work closely with the Financial Accounting Manager and Financial Controller on special projects and ad‑hoc requests, contributing your insights and expertise. Process Improvement: Identify and implement innovative process improvements and system developments to enhance efficiency and quality within the accounting team. Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal financial policies, procedures, controls, and systems, safeguarding our financial health. What You Bring A minimum of 3 years solid accounting experience, ideally in a professional services environment. Current CA or CPA member or actively studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification. Advanced Excel skills that allow you to analyse data effectively. A proactive mindset with the ability to thrive under pressure, multi‑task, and manage high volumes of work within tight deadlines. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that foster collaboration and clarity. A strong work ethic and the ability to build positive relationships within the team. Preferably resides within a commutable distance from Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Authorisation to work full‑time in Australia.
