Maroondah Volunteer

The Maroondah L2P Program is a partnership between the Department of Transport and Planning and TAC, supporting young disadvantaged learner drivers gain the driving hours required to go for their probationary driver's licence. For young people, having their driver's licence creates access to employment, education and engagement with the community. The TAC L2P Program plays an important role in promoting safety on Victoria's roads to these young people. Maroondah is currently looking for volunteers to support and mentor young people and their driving journey. What we provide Fully insured vehicles and petrol supplied A full day training with a facilitator from the Department of Transport and Planning Ongoing support and mentor catch‑ups Your role as a mentor Build connections, support young learner drivers Integrate the Graduated Licensing System and Four Stages of Learning to Drive Develop the skills and confidence of learner drivers to be safe on our roads Requirements Aged 21 years or over Hold a current full Australian driver's licence Valid Working with Children Check (volunteer) Satisfactory National Police Check Satisfactory Full Driver licence History Report Be medically fit to drive Maroondah L2P Program plays a crucial role in encouraging safe driving by supporting learners experiencing barriers to become responsible drivers. Maroondah is recruiting new volunteers to continue this impactful service.
