Don't miss this chance to build your career — apply now Overview The primary purpose of the position is to effectively manage and coordinate project planning and delivery activities to maximise project profitability and ensure customer satisfaction is provided to a key client in the Energy Segment. Lead a team to achieve excellence in service delivery across major large-scale building and construction projects. About The Role The position supervises various QBuild office staff, field staff and contractors who perform a range of project planning, product delivery, contract supervision and client liaison activities to support a key client group. Ensure efficient service delivery, monitor and report key stakeholders and ensure regional and metro projects are resourced effectively to deliver quality and ensure best practice in both compliance and governance. Duties and Skills Planning and delivering projects through the efficient supervision and development of office staff, field staff and subcontractors and the effective management of resources such as plant and equipment, depots and motor vehicles. Monitoring and reviewing project standards using effective work order management techniques that monitor and report to stakeholders on the status and quality of service, project delivery and expenditure, and achieve compliance with industry best practice and agreed cost and time parameters. Producing high-quality tender and quotation documentation for building projects, ensuring compliance with industry best practice, departmental standards, and client requirements. Assisting in the development and research of estimating, costing, contract administration, and contract cost management practices. Managing regional resources to effectively deliver construction, maintenance and upgrade projects ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and practices. Providing a high level of supervisory services in respect to the delivery of construction, maintenance and upgrade work undertaken by QBuild. Provide operational contract supervisory services in respect to construction and engineering contracts on major and complex projects. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients through effective and regular communication, sound negotiation and the achievement of program outcomes which meet client expectations. Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with current human resource practices and principles, including employment equity, anti-discrimination and workplace health and safety. Promoting QBuild products and services to existing and prospective clients through regular meetings and established forums and identifying opportunities for new business services based on emerging trends in asset management. Proactively manage the work performance and personal conduct of your staff. Mandatory Requirements Current Workplace Health and Safety General Safety Induction Card. While not mandatory, a construction industry-related trade qualification is highly desirable. Valid Australian Driver's License. Additional Requirements Travel will be necessary when required. Construction experience highly recommended.
