Director of Nursing – Fremantle Hospital Are you ready to lead nursing excellence at Fremantle Hospital? We’re looking for an experienced and visionary Nurse Director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of our nursing services. This is a permanent full‑time appointment. This position is an opportunity to shape clinical standards, drive innovation, and ensure the highest quality of patient care at a 300‑bed specialist hospital focused on high‑quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services. SMHS delivers quality, safe and effective hospital and health services across a 3300 square kilometre area in the southern half of Perth. Responsibilities Lead strategic programmes consistent with the Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospital Nursing and Midwifery Executive Council objectives. Provide advanced coordination, integration and strategic direction to optimise nursing professional practice and service delivery. Support coordinated service delivery across all Service Directorates at the Fremantle Hospital site. Contribute to the development and implementation of the Hospital and Health Service goals, objectives, nursing policies, practice and standards. Communicate these in a positive and effective way. Design and drive programmes to support evidence‑based professional practice, grow leadership capacity and meet safety and quality outcomes for the Fremantle Hospital Nursing Workforce.
