Job Description We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and motivated individual to join our Facilities Team as a Full Time School Cleaner (Day) . The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the school grounds, buildings and facilities are clean, hygienic and well‑maintained to support a safe learning environment. Hours to be confirmed – Applicants should be available between 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities Clean all school grounds, including turf, concrete areas, walkways and stairwells Maintain classrooms, offices, amenities and common areas to a high standard Vacuum carpets (including edges), spot clean spills, remove cobwebs and chewing gum Dust and wipe cabinet tops, appliances, windowsills, blinds and wall‑mounted items Clean kitchens, staff areas and microwave ovens (inside and out) Refill toilet paper, paper towel, soap dispensers and replace urinal blocks as needed Clean and sanitise bathrooms, partitions, doors and tiled surfaces Empty bins and manage waste removal Report and address occupational health and safety concerns promptly Requirements Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one) Ability to pass a Police Check Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role Strong attention to detail Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic Previous cleaning experience in a school or commercial environment is an advantage but not required Why Work for ICOM?
