As our company continues to grow, we are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team at our workshop in Port Hedland. Candidates must possess a minimum of 3-5 years of heavy diesel mechanic experience. You will also have an opportunity to gain experience working on XCMG, Komatsu, CAT, Fuso, Hino, Isuzu, Hitachi, Liebherr and A/C systems. In this role you will be required to: Assist the crew to meet daily safety, equipment reliability and maintenance compliance to plan targets for projects. Disassemble, inspect and assemble large-scale mobile mining equipment components (in accordance with OEM maintenance system documentation & specifications) Source technical information from all relevant reference manuals, technical bulletins and computer systems Complete mechanical diagnosis, repairs and service of equipment for breakdowns/field service Component rebuilds Carry out major repairs Efficient and thorough Diagnosing, Maintaining & Repairing skills Good attitude with a solid work ethic Willing to work on all types of earthmoving equipment Full Australian working rights Maintain the workshop to a high standard of housekeeping and organisation Work with a dedicated team to deliver a high level of workmanship What we offer: Competitive mining industry rates based on experience Long term stability in a leading national company Permanent full-time opportunity Ongoing training and development opportunities Flexible roster Employee benefits + EAP Requirements: Certificate III Mobile Plant qualification is required Be competent in performing routine maintenance on machines Driver License, HR (preferred) Komatsu and Cat experience (desirable but not essential) Ability to work autonomously, in a fast-paced environment Be physically fit and able to pass a Medical including a Drug and Alcohol test To apply for this position, please submit your current CV addressing qualifications, experience and skills.
